The SH Pod soundproofing casing is an innovative noise-isolation system, developed using the patented Slim Hurdle™ and Quiet Leaf™ technologies to reduce noise generated by small and medium-sized outdoor air conditioning units and heat pumps. The SH Pod casing is also available in an XL version, specifically designed for larger units and systems equipped with dual fans.
Its compact and modular design allows straightforward installation at the equipment’s existing location, without requiring structural modifications or complex logistical operations.
The casing consists of:
- A self-supporting frame in galvanized steel, ensuring independence from the equipment.
- Inspectable side panels with a quick fastening system, facilitating access for maintenance
- A robust, customisable cover to protect the unit from environmental elements and solar radiation, while effectively minimising noise.
- Aphonic grilles, with a reduced thickness of just 2 cm, specially developed to minimize pressure drop (less than 10 Pa) and maximize airflow efficiency.
In addition, the internal configuration of the casing features a flow separation system for air inlet and outlet, which prevents recirculation (bypass) phenomena and enables the equipment to maintain optimal energy and functional performance. The SH Pod casing provides noise attenuation ranging from 5 to 16 dB(A), depending on the configuration and the type of unit involved.
Available models
SH Pod casings are available in three models, designed to suit all types of heat pumps and air conditioning units:
- SH Pod Standard, for units equipped with a single fan
- SH Pod XL, for units equipped with dual fans
- SH Pod Smart, for applications where lower sound reduction and a reduced footprint are sufficient
SH Pod sound-absorbing casings also enhance the aesthetic appeal of the units by concealing them with a finish available in the full RAL colour chart, ideal for integration into architecturally demanding environments.
